Emily Thomson is a multidisciplinary Artist living in Alberta, Canada.
She began her visual art career in 2012 during her last year at Red Deer College, commissioned to design and paint the head of a musicians banjo, followed by a public mural shortly after. She has proceeded to do many more public art projects in Red Deer and Edmonton including Art Battle and fundraising events, as well as personal and private commissions.
Emily draws inspiration from her emotions and surroundings, nature and music having a large influence. She has many Series of works of art ranging from her 'In Bloom' encaustic Jellyfish to her 'Rhythm and Revel' abstract swing dance acrylic paintings, and many in between. Her latest fancy is making Pon Pom jewelry and decorations.
Emily is active in her local communities supporting local businesses and the Art and Culture scenes. She loves to attend live concerts and theatre, and is an avid swing dancer and yogi. She loves collecting vintage decor, clothing, records and vehicles and loves playing Ukulele. Travelling and meeting new people and having new experiences is how she stays inspired and creative.
